As black millennials, something about this Summer is just telling us that we all need to prosper. Tweeting that you “want to glow and grow physically, mentally, and financially” isn’t going to get the job done if all you’re going to do is sit on the couch all day. You need to take action! Here are five tips every black creative should be following this summer!
1. Prioritize

2. Monetize
Jay-Z once said “you can’t afford something unless you can buy it twice.” So girl, if you can’t buy Rih’s $100 Puma Jelly slides twice, humble yourself.
You also need to spend money to make money and if you don’t have money, you better SAVE up! If you really want to accomplish your goals, being broke is not gonna be an excuse to stop you from doing so. Get that summer job, boo!
3. Capitalize
Take advantage of what you can learn from this summer. Whether it’s reading a new book or blog, subscribing to a new Youtube channel, listening to new music, or even following a whole bunch of new people on social media, take the chance to see what you can gain from new perspectives and different content. You never know where inspiration will spark!
4. Incentivize
