Q:  Where are you from? 
A: I am from Atlanta. 
 
Q: What does fashion mean to you? 
A: Fashion means a lot to me. It allows you to express yourself in any way you'd like. It makes a statement without any words being said. That's powerful. 
 
Q: When did your interest in fashion develop? What developed that interest?
A: My interest in fashion developed as a child. I was always intrigued by colorful and fashionable things. Growing up, I always found myself creating and designing my own clothes and wanting to showcase them to friends.

 

 
Q: How would you describe Cake Militia? Where did the name come from?
A: I would describe cake militia as a brand that celebrates female strength and style. There are no limits. I came up with the name, thinking I needed something strong yet feminine. I had envisioned a squad of girls with bomb makeup and edgy swag, running through graffiti ridden streets. 
 
Q: How do you select the color schemes you use? 
A: No colors are off limits. I am a bit picky when it comes to which colors I use together, but it all depends on the piece.
 
Q: What sets your brand a part from others?
A: I spend the majority of my time creating for my brand. Everything is drawn out by me and designed by me. My photographer @brittany.j.martinez also plays a prudent role in my brand. We come up with themes and creative ideas. I want original pieces that you won't find anywhere else. I want all different types of people to not only be touched by my work but also to feel empowered by it.
 
Q:  What advice would you give other young female entrepreneurs looking to start their own business? 
A: I would tell them to be creative & take the time out to brainstorm and really think about what you want your business to entail. There are no limits, but do your research!! 
 
Q: What is your vision for the future of Cake Militia? 
A: I don't know where Cake Militia will be in the future, but I'd like for my brand to potentially be in a store. I see Cake Militia going to go into men's wear as well. I just want to keep creating and keep inspiring.
