Miami based urban streetwear brand, Q Apparel, showcases all things Miami with its authentically unique designs, attention to detail and eclectic youthfulness. The sister company of graphic design agency, Q Creations, Q Apparel pays close attention to detail when it comes to clothing designs. Tequila Rowan, CEO and Founder of Q Apparel and Q Creations, expresses her creativity through her graphic artistry which is further transformed onto Q Apparel.
"I’ve always wanted to make cool T-shirts but never dreamed of being a fashion designer. Q Apparel allows me to share my art on my clothing and grow a deeper appreciation for graphic design."
What started off as a cool way to wear customized Miami Heat shirts, quickly turned into a brand all Miamians could relate to. Born and raised in South Florida, Rowan credits the community’s vast diversity for her designs inspiration.
“You can find diversity and inspiration in everything you see in Miami,” says Rowan. “From the food, culture, language and art scene, Miami is a great city for young creatives to not only learn from but to create in.”
Q Apparel’s most notable designs stem from the “1896” collection, a vibrant ode to the city of Miami’s inception. A local’s favorite, “Y Qué ”, plays on the city’s rich Latino culture and dialect. Most recently, QApparel launched its “Lights Out” Collection, a darker take on the brand’s already staple designs.
“All of Q Apparel designs pay homage to Miami, in some way or another. Miami is home.”
