On his fourth album “DAMN.” Kendrick Lamar blessed us with fourteen tracks of pure gold. Unlike Kendrick’s last two albums “untitled unmastered” and “To Pimp a Butterfly”, DAMN.  doesn’t feature a jazzy sounding production. It’s most definitely giving us some "good kid, m.A.A.d city" vibes and for the OG fans you can hear slight similarity to “section.80”. With features from bad gyal RiRi, newcomer Zacari, and an abnormal pairing with the rock band U2, Kung Fu Kenny definitely did the DAMN. thing with this album. Below are five tracks that deserve a listen!

1) DNA.

Yes, Mike Will made this! Huge shout out to Mike for producing such a wig-snatching beat and the switch up at the 2:06 mark took all my edges too. After you get beyond the beat, the lyrics sink in and DNA becomes such a powerful track. The misinformed man you hear commenting on the track is Fox News reporter Geraldo Rivera, claiming “hip - hop has done more damage to young African-Americans than racism in recent years.” Well it's not the music. It’s our reality -- it's simply in our DNA.

2) ELEMENT.

Just like Kenny, I’m allergic to a b**ch N**ga and an imaginary rich n**ga. "Element." was a personal favorite after the first listen. The hook is catchy, the beat is mesmerizing and the way he switches up his flow is unique. This track is worth a lip-sync snapchat video.

3) LOYALTY. ft. Rihanna

Who you loyal to? With Rihanna as a feature I can totally see this banger being the next single to hit the airwaves. This track is smoother than some edges after a fresh relaxer.

4) LOVE. ft. Zacari

Grabbing the second feature on this album, Zacari’s performance is memorable. This track is one of the slower songs on this project and I’m really feeling it. By no way am I trying to compare the two, but Kendrick is giving off some Drake vibes on this song.

5) DUCKWORTH.

This track is overlooked and it bothers me. You definitely have to close your eyes and visualize the narrative that Kendrick’s spewing. Kendrick describes how TDE co-founder Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, almost shot Kendrick’s father during a robbery. The wrong choice could of left Kenny father and mentor less.

Talk about a plot twist, all you can say after finishing is DAMN.
